Here at Yorkshire Building Society, we are entering the next phase of our transformation journey - strengthening how we support our members and providing real help with real lives. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst, with the drive, passion and breadth of experience to join our Business Change team and be part of this exciting transformation journey. This is a hybrid role with remote working and some onsite presence in our Leeds or Bradford offices. This is a 6-month fixed term contract.
About the role
As our next Senior Business Analyst, you will contribute across all stages of our change framework - from shaping early thinking on strategic change initiatives through to definition and delivery. You will work as part of our Business Analysis Centre of Excellence within the Society's Business Change team, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to support the successful delivery of our Strategy. In this role, you will:
- Develop, own and monitor business design and requirements documentation aligned to programme objectives
- Carry out impact assessments across people, processes and operations
- Plan, lead and complete high level and detailed analysis to fully understand business needs, including impacts on people, processes, data and technology
- Support supplier engagement and negotiation activities
- Ensure that all change activity aligns with internal governance frameworks
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams to enable successful implementation in both Waterfall and Agile environments
- Partner with business SMEs to evaluate sourcing models
About you
You will bring a proactive approach with strong communication and leadership skills. You will be comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and can clearly explain solutions in a business context. You will have extensive experience of influencing business and technical stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes. In addition, you will:
- Have proven experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably within operational change programmes
- Be skilled in stakeholder engagement, process mapping and structured business requirements definition
- Have worked within structured change management models
