Join us as an Improvement Specialist in our Supply Chain Operations team – a new role designed to drive positive change, strengthen engagement, and enhance the employee experience. Reporting directly to the SCM Operations Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how we work, own improvement initiatives, and develop your skills in a flexible, supportive environment. As Improvement Specialist, you’ll:

  • Drive operational and continuous improvement, maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities, delivering measurable benefits, and keeping all documentation accurate and current.
  • Enhance employee experience, engagement, and development processes through effective events, onboarding, recognition, training tracking, and workforce‑planning support.
  • Deliver clear, engaging, and inclusive communications across multiple formats, measured through reach, engagement, and accessibility compliance.

What you’ll do

Department Improvement
  • Support the creation, coordination, and monitoring of the Department Improvement Plan.
  • Track progress, maintain documentation, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Gather team feedback and identify opportunities to enhance workflows, processes, or experiences.
Engagement & Communications
  • Produce and distribute engaging internal communications, including newsletters, update emails, vlogs, and announcements.
  • Maintain a consistent style, tone, and messaging aligned with departmental priorities.
  • Support delivery of the People Engagement Plan, coordinating events, campaigns, and activities that enhance engagement.
Employee Experience & Culture
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Coordinate recognition programmes that celebrate achievements and reinforce a positive culture.
  • Contribute to DEI efforts, supporting activities that strengthen inclusion and belonging.
Learning, Development & Workforce Planning
  • Process, track, and monitor training requests, ensuring alignment with development needs.
  • Maintain and update departmental intranet pages, keeping content current and accessible.
  • Monitor and collate Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and Succession Plans, supporting workforce planning.
Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Prepare updates and reports on engagement, development, and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation supporting people processes.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to communication, engagement practices, and people‑related processes.

You’ll bring experience in internal communications, engagement, people operations, or continuous improvement roles, and be passionate about making a difference.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating newsletters, updates, or digital content.

Good understanding of employee experience principles and people‑focused initiatives.

Competent with intranet/CMS administration and content publishing.

Experience analysing data and producing insights for reporting.

Strong MS Office skills and collaboration tools (SharePoint/Teams).

Excellent grammar, layout, and brand alignment.

Experience supporting operational improvement initiatives or coordinating strategic action plans.
