We are looking for a Credit Decisioning Analyst to work at the forefront of mortgage change at YBS, working on high profile transformational projects and changes and ensuring these are delivered into our mortgage decision engine.
About the role
In this role you will be designing, developing and testing changes to the Retail Mortgage Decisioning Engine for BAU and Projects using the system coding language, ensuring development of changes are optimal, align to our standards, and are maintainable by current and future colleagues. You’ll support Senior Analysts, working with stakeholders across the business to define business changes, providing challenges when necessary, and supporting with prioritisation, communication and training. You will be responsible for testing all Decisioning System changes, ensuring a high standard of test practices are implemented and adhered to, and managing incidents, including identification, investigation and data analysis to determine the root cause, and developing and delivering required fixes.
About you
- Highly numerate with excellent problem-solving skills and an interest in analysing financial data
- Experience using computer-based languages (e.g. Lua, Python or SAS) and experience in using Excel to format data sets
- Experience with credit decisioning systems or system testing is preferred but not required.
- Continuous improvement mindset and always looking for ways we can improve our processes
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to present complex information in simple terms
