About this role
As a Financial Crime System & MI Support Specialist you will work in partnership with the Financial Crime Systems, Threat and MI Manager and wider Society to ensure effective anti-financial crime systems and governance processes exist across YBS. This includes advising and assuring them to ensure they remain effective at preventing and detecting financial crime risks. You will have the opportunity to support a variety of projects as YBS continues with its transformation plans and to help achieve our ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate financial crime reporting and ensure MI is delivered to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
- Proactively create rules and scorecard analysis for financial crime systems and controls.
- Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of financial crime systems through ongoing testing and monitoring.
- Utilise your analytical skills to collect, prepare, analyse, and interpret large datasets; use the information to develop trends and make recommendations.
- Design and deliver reporting solutions built and presented in tools such as SAS, SQL, and Tableau.
- Proactively look for ways to automate/rationalise existing reports and enhance our anti-financial crime technology.
- Develop a good understanding of the financial crime risks and typologies relevant to YBS.
About You
- Subject matter expert in financial crime with a passion for preventing and detecting financial crime.
- Logical approach to complex problems.
- Strong data analysis capabilities with proficiency in SAS or SQL; experience with Python is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data findings graphically and verbally.
- Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines, make effective decisions, and motivate and develop self and others.
