Overview
We have a great opportunity for two individuals to join our Portfolio Team on a 12 month contract to support the in life Basel revaluations for YBS Commercial Mortgages. About the Role
This is a nopportunity to work as a Portfolio Analyst within the existing team, part of the project team responsible for completing the revaluations due in 2026 and shaping the future process for 2027 and beyond. You will be responsible for assisting the Portfolio Manager with planning, customer interactions, issuing communications, liaising with valuers and compiling MI as the project develops. This is an important role delivering new regulatory requirements for YBS, one where you ll work to support commercial lending customers and deliver key portfolio management activities. You will build and maintain great relationships with customers and deliver a high standard of customer service. You ll provide prompt and robust assessment of the valuations and identify and escalate any issues which arise. The ability to make critical risk based evaluations, informed proposals and have complex conversations with customers is key.
Please Note: We are based in Peterborough, currently working offering Hybrid working. You will be expected to be in the office 1-2 days each week for training, collaboration and important meetings and the remainder at home. You may need to travel to our other office sites in Bradford and Leeds on occasion.
Responsibilities
- To succed in the role you will need a good understanding of Commercial Lending at YBS and have experience working directly with customers, surveyors and suppliers. You ll pride yourself on great direct customer interaction with understanding of risk management, covenant checking, and valuation reports.
- Previous experience of working within a mortgage or lending functionideally within the Commercial Finance sector.
- Great organisation skills,
- The ability to work with pace and agility whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Flair for numbers and systems.
- The ability to work in a team and independently with the right support.
