At YBS, we’re here to do what’s right. Not just for our members who use our savings and mortgage products, but for our communities, our society, and our world. And it all begins with our people. We’ve created a workplace where you can make a difference, put purpose ahead of profit, balance commerciality with conscience, and focus on growing, developing, learning, and progressing. You can be your best and do the right thing for you, your career, and your future.
About this role
As our next Business Development Adviser, you’ll aim to increase mortgage volume and quality through the intermediary market as part of our Accord Sales team. You’ll engage with mortgage intermediaries through a range of communication channels, including inbound phone calls and Webchat, to achieve a high volume of quality lending while delivering excellent sales and service propositions. You’ll spend much of your time helping mortgage intermediaries with complex case enquiries and will build and maintain strong working relationships with other business areas to ensure we offer our customers the very best service.
About You
Delivering exceptional customer experiences is at the heart of everything we do. You don’t need prior knowledge of the mortgage intermediary industry to thrive in this role – if you bring sales experience or a proven track record in customer service, we’d love to hear from you. You will also bring:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build lasting relationships both within our team and with external partners.
- Excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
- A proactive mindset, ready to embrace growth opportunities and make an impact across different facets of our business.
About us
At YBS we don’t have shareholders, we have members. We care about people and that includes you. Here you’ll be respected for who you are, you’ll be able to bring your whole self to work, and you’ll have everything you need to build a long and rewarding career.
- Flexibility: We offer flexible working options without unsocial hours to help you achieve a healthy work-life balance. We’re happy to discuss flexible working during the recruitment process.
- Development: We are committed to developing your skills and supporting your career journey, with an induction and full training plan to get you up to speed quickly.
- Inclusivity: We’re committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome and can be themselves.
About our Benefits
We offer rewards you can enjoy in and out of work, including:
- Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 extra days.
- Bonus: On-target bonus of 7% of eligible pay, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
- Pension: YBS pension contributions up to 11%.
- Healthcare: Private medical insurance, dental and healthcare plans.
- My Benefits: Access to a self-service portal with discounts across retail, hospitality and health.
