Our Financial Crime Team works in partnership with our business to protect the Society and its members from financial crime. As a Senior Fraud Specialist, you’ll play an important part in protecting the Society from fraud.

About the role:

  • Support the Fraud Manager to ensure that team activity is effectively managed: decisions are consistently applied, reflect the current economic situation, comply with regulatory regimes and are aligned to the current risk appetite.
  • Provide oversight and mentoring to Fraud Specialists in compliance with the relevant T&C scheme.
  • Act as a technical SME and provide specialist technical advice to colleagues across all business areas.
  • Support the implementation plans across the fraud teams, to meet service level agreements and quality targets ensuring that appropriate resources are effectively deployed to manage fraud risks, deliver an exceptional customer/colleagues experience and protect the YBS Group.

About you:

  • Experience of supporting the development and implementation of counter Fraud activity to effectively protect both Customers and the business.
  • Robust understanding of financial crime regulations and legislation, specifically fraud related, but with sound AML knowledge.
  • Experience in supporting the leadership and development of a high-performing team.
  • Awareness of financial services industry, markets and competitors.
  • Strong communication, engagement and influencing skills.
