Financial Risk & Control Lead

Job Description Fixed term contract to 31 December 2025 Are you passionate about risk management and looking to make a significant impact on our organisations risk culture? If so, then this role could be for you as youll be able to use that curiosity and passion to build an effective risk culture through providing risk and control expertise to the Finance Division. We are seeking a technical expert in finance risk, control and assurance activity to operate within the first line of defence. This role is crucial in building first line risk assurance capability and capacity. You will work with colleagues across the Finance division to implement first line assurance, build effective monitoring and reporting and provide strategic leadership and partnering to support in embedding revised risk frameworks and culture. The role will report directly into the Director of Balance Sheet Management but will provide expertise across the Finance division, including Finance and Treasury teams. In addition, working in collaboration with a project team who are delivering a risk management framework for the whole organisation.
