About the role

As a Technology Risk & Governance Lead, you’ll be playing a key role in the transformation of our Technology Services risk and control environment. You’ll be working across Technology Services to intervene and support in the resolution of risk and governance related matters. You will –

  • Support and educate Subject Matter Experts with the identification, assessment, monitoring, and management of technology risks (both on prem and Cloud)

  • Support the design and implementation of IT, IS & Cyber and Business Continuity controls to mitigate identified risks

  • Support the continual review of technology services controls to ensure they remain appropriate for managing our risks

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and across the business

  • Develop, implement, and maintain governance and risk management frameworks, including policies, standards, and procedures

  • Provide problem solving/ troubleshooting skills to support the Technology Services Director and extended leadership team

  • Monitor, report, and provide insights on key risk indicators, emerging risks, and compliance issues

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of governance and risk reporting for risk forums and committees

  • Monitor and report on audit and assurance actions

  • Support annual compliance activities, such as PCI-DSS, LINK, BACS

About you

What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience with IT/ Technology risk (including cyber), preferably in Financial Services

  • Comfortable explaining technology risk in non-technical terms whilst advising and educating on appropriate risk mitigation and remediation

  • Track record of building relationships with key stakeholders with good collaboration skills

  • Knowledge of industry best practice, emerging technology risks and regulatory requirements.

  • Knowledge and experience of Technology Risk & Control Assessment frameworks e.g. NIST, ISO27001, COBIT, ITIL

  • Relevant industry certifications would be an advantage, but not essential
