We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Credit Risk Modelling team.
About the role
The Credit Risk Modelling team play a key role in the way financial sustainability and credit risk is managed within the Society. We are about to begin an exciting new programme of the redevelopment of all of our models - this delivery is critical to the purpose and growth ambitions of YBS so there couldn’t be a better time to join! You’ll be joining an experienced and growing team in a highly visible area of the Society.
You will play an important supporting role in the development of new IRB and Stress Testing models that are fundamental to the overall Credit Risk modelling landscape that also includes scorecards, IFRS 9 and climate risk models. Day to day delivery will range from data extraction.
- Understanding of IRB, Scorecards, IFRS 9 or Stress Testing Modelling.
- Skilled in data manipulation, SAS (or similar software) and Microsoft software.
- Knowledge of modelling requirements and an understanding of the requirements of the regulations relating to model development would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- A good awareness of the Financial Services industry and associated regulatory landscapes.
- Continuous improvement mindset and always looking for ways to improve yourself and YBS.
