Are you a qualified Accountant looking for an opportunity where your technical skills can make a real difference? We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Regulatory Reporting Specialist to support the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements across Yorkshire Building Society’s returns. This fixed‑term role plays an important part in ensuring our submissions remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations. This is a hybrid role, working from home along with one day per week in our central Leeds office. This is an 8‑month fixed term contract from May, ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex regulatory requirements in a project‑focused environment.
About the role
- Take detailed regulatory interpretations and apply them accurately to the Society’s regulatory returns
- Liaise across Finance, Risk, Treasury and other business areas to gather data and supporting information
- Apply technical judgement to assess how regulatory rules should be implemented in reporting methodologies
- Interpret and document regulatory guidance clearly, ensuring consistent application and strong audit trails
- Review existing processes and support improvements where required
- Contribute to adhoc analysis relating to regulatory change and reporting impacts
About you
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experienced in Financial Services and Regulatory Reporting
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
- Confident interpreting and applying technical regulatory guidance
- Able to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business
- Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Comfortable working with large data sets and financial systems

- Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with option to buy up to a further 5 days
- Bonus: On‑target bonus of 7% of eligible pay, up to a maximum of 15%
