Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media, content creation and connecting with different audiences? We're looking for a Social Media Executive to help bring the Great Yorkshire Showground's brands to life online. This is an exciting opportunity to nurture and grow social media channels across the Great Yorkshire Showground, with a particular focus on Fodder, while also supporting the Great Yorkshire Show, Great Yorkshire Events Centre, Pavilions of Harrogate and Harrogate Caravan Park accounts.

About the role

You'll plan, create, schedule and report on engaging content across a range of social media platforms. Working closely with colleagues across the showground, you'll help develop lively, relevant and creative campaigns that build brand awareness, increase engagement and support our wider marketing activity. You’ll need to be confident adapting tone of voice for a variety of audiences, from corporate clients and consumers to farmers, producers and show visitors.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating lively, interesting and engaging social media campaigns across multiple brands and platforms.
  • Producing content including copy, photography, video, Reels, Stories, TikToks and simple graphics using tools such as Canva.
  • Editing ready‑to‑post short‑form video content using CapCut or a preferred editing tool.
  • Scheduling content and supporting the day‑to‑day management of social media channels.
  • Tracking audience engagement and responding directly to online conversations where appropriate.
  • Liaising with teams across the showground to support a joined‑up and effective online marketing strategy.
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on social media performance using tools such as Sprout Social and Facebook/Instagram insights.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is creative, organised and confident working across different types of content and audiences. You’ll enjoy working with people, be comfortable handling challenges and bring fresh ideas to help our brands stand out online.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience managing social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and TikTok.
  • Experience creating, filming and editing content for social media.
  • Confidence using social media scheduling, reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience with Sprout Social or a similar social media management platform.
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering high‑quality social media campaigns.
  • A personable, proactive approach and a natural ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Experience creating, filming and editing content and ability to use CapCut or preferred video editing tool.
