All the profits from Fodder go to help fund the charitable work of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Fodder is well known for its quality and exceptional customer service.
Purpose of the Role
The ideal candidate will therefore have the initiative, drive and determination to succeed in the role, as we continue to grow. To assist in the overall daily operations of the kitchen and support Fodder takeaway, helping to ensure great quality food & service, by the catering team.
Working Pattern
6 hours, 1 day at the weekend.
Key Responsibilities
- This is a hands‑on role, to help with producing top‑class Yorkshire food during the day whilst assisting in the smooth operations of a busy kitchen.
- To ensure that the pot wash area is kept clean and tidy. That all pots/equipment are washed and cleaned, as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- To carry out daily/weekly cleaning jobs, following a schedule to ensure a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen, keeping work surfaces, walls, floors and equipment clean.
- Assist the kitchen team in preparing and producing the very best Yorkshire produce.
- Work alongside kitchen team members, in line with Society procedures and policies.
- To ensure the Fodder HACCP plan is followed and to complete all relevant paperwork, to play a major part in maintaining 5 stars for food hygiene standards.
- Follow and adhere to all health and safety regulations for Fodder.
- Liaise closely with the catering team, to ensure individual food orders are communicated clearly and the food service works seamlessly, from the kitchen to our customers.
- Work with the catering team to execute successful events, which may include occasional evenings.
- To recognise the importance of fairness and equality in the workplace, to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
- To be an ambassador of the Society values.
