The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

Purpose of the Role: To work as part of the operations team in our event venue to ensure the continued success of the organisation. Working closely with the Senior Event Manager and Deputy Event Managers to deliver safe and successful events, under the leadership of the Venue Manager.

Working hours: 5 days, 37.5 hours per week Monday-Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of the Events team.
  • Contribute to the overall organisational goals.
  • Display the PROUD values of the Society.
  • Support the operations team in the successful delivery of events.
  • Support and mentor the Deputy Event Managers.
  • Manage all Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Casual Staff as required by events.
  • Ensure the venue is excellently presented, including cleaning of floors and other areas to meet company standards for cleanliness.
  • Prepare the venue for arrival according to the client's specification, setting out furniture and installing electrical/comms cables and AV equipment.
  • Support the sales team with showrounds and proposals by providing operational knowledge and guidance.
  • Work as part of the Events Team to ensure efficiency and control costs to deliver expected margins.
  • Ensure Health & Safety Standards are continually monitored and improved where possible.
  • Support the Venue Manager with onboarding, training and development of team members.
  • Encourage a one-team environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and visitor experience.
  • Ensure service of alcohol complies with our Premises Licence and is delivered to expected standard.

General Responsibilities: The Society is committed to achieving a high standard of Health and Safety in all its activities and the post holder will be expected to contribute to maintaining standards to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation.

Practical Skills Associated with Event Delivery:

  • Driving Licence.
  • Personal Licence Holder (Training provided if required).
  • Accredited SIA Door Supervisor (Training provided if required).
  • First Aider (Training provided if required).
  • Fire Warden (Training provided if required).
  • Master Forklift / Telehandler (Training provided if required).
  • PAF 3a & 3b (Scissor Lift & Cherry Picker) (Training provided if required).
  • Manual Handling.
  • Knowledge of temporary Electrical installations.
  • Installation of networking, broadband, Wi-Fi & telephone communications.
  • Installation of AV & PA systems.
  • Setting up of the venue for a variety of events including furniture and equipment.
  • Cleaning and waste management.
