Great Yorkshire Event Centre is a leading venue for large-scale events on the edge of Harrogate, located on the Great Yorkshire Showground. Together with the Pavilions of Harrogate, we boast an excellent location, top facilities and dedicated teams.

Purpose of the Role

Work as part of the operations team to ensure the continued success of the organisation, working closely with the Senior Event Manager, Deputy Event Managers and the Venue Manager.

Hours: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours: Monday–Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the Events team.
  • Contribute to the overall organisational goals.
  • Display the PROUD values of the Society.
  • Support the operations team in the successful delivery of events.
  • Support and mentor the Deputy Event Managers.
  • Manage all contractors, sub-contractors and casual staff as required.
  • Ensure the venue is presented to the company’s cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare the venue for arrival according to client specifications, including furniture, electrical/comms cabling and AV equipment.
  • Support the sales team with showrounds and proposals by providing operational knowledge and guidance.
  • Work with the Events team to ensure efficiency and control costs to deliver expected margins.
  • Monitor and improve Health.
