Yorkare Homes is one of the highest CQC rated care providers nationally, and that same level of care is provided at Haxby Hall. We are currently recruiting for a Night Lead Senior Carer, 40 hours per week. The care home provides both residential and dementia care and includes facilities such as an in-house bar, a full beauty salon and hairdressing room, and cinema. The facilities are used on a daily basis by visiting friends and family, and in our varied activities programme.
The role will be to complete a mix of office and on-floor duties. It will include some weekend work and on-call duties. Responsibilities include:
- Promoting the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents, treating everyone with respect and encouraging participation in any tasks if wished with due consideration to managed risk taking.
- Supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Managers in their duties to ensure the home complies with all health and safety requirements.
- Seeking guidance from professionals when required and conducting care reviews with residents and families.
- Assisting the Registered Manager and Deputy Managers to produce and maintain systems and procedures for auditing and assuring quality of care provided by the home.
- Guiding the team to always deliver care to the highest level to support residents with a wide range of disabilities, ensuring you are a positive role model to all staff.
- Sharing the on-call with the other members of the management team.
- Overseeing the documentation entries daily, completing rotas and staff meetings.
- Communicating well with professionals, other staff members, residents, and relatives.
- Inducting, training, and supervising staff as required.
