Are you a strong team player, friendly and motivated? Then we may have the role for you! Scarborough Hospital Catering Department requires enthusiastic Catering Operatives to work in all areas of the Catering Department mainly in the Satellite, could be asked to work Main Kitchen Area and Dining Room of the Catering Department.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible, in order to work variable hours. You must be able to use initiative, be self‑motivated and have strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills. Applicants must be able to work under pressure, prioritise their own workload and be able to carry out physical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering food trollies to the ward areas.
- Serving in Pats Place.
- Delivering food to functions and events within the trust as required.
- Using ovens to regenerate food.
- Keeping the kitchen areas clean.
- Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP.
- Washing up and other general cleaning duties.
- The role also could involve working in other areas of the Catering Department.
The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will also be provided. Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.
