York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) is a subsidiary of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Head of Information and Governance leads information management, governance, risk and compliance, ensuring high‑quality data and robust assurance supporting senior decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead YTHFM’s information and governance functions, including risk management and compliance.
  • Oversee national reporting and data returns, ensuring accuracy and credibility.
  • Manage corporate governance requirements, committee processes and statutory obligations.
  • Develop and maintain quality management and compliance systems.
  • Provide clear, reliable information to support executive decision‑making.
  • Lead and develop a specialist, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong experience in information governance, assurance and compliance within a complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insight.
  • Senior leadership experience, influencing with credibility, operating with discretion and advising senior leaders on risk, governance and assurance.
