York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We provide estates, facilities and medical engineering services that are essential to delivering safe, high‑quality patient care across the Trust’s hospitals and community sites. As a subsidiary organisation, we combine the values, purpose and scale of the NHS with the operational focus, responsiveness and flexibility needed to deliver reliable services and major transformation.
As Deputy Director of Development, you will lead capital projects, property transactions and the delivery of net zero initiatives across YTHFM. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for capital development, property and net zero programmes, leading complex capital schemes from business case to completion and ensuring quality, safety, value for money and compliance. You will oversee significant capital budgets, act as Project Director for major developments, lead multidisciplinary teams and external partners, and provide expert advice to YTHFM and the Trust on estate development. You will also contribute to senior‑level Trust and system planning, supporting the Trust’s estate strategy and long‑term clinical and service ambitions.
