Scarborough Hospital Catering Department requires an enthusiastic Bank Chef to work in the Main Kitchens of the Catering Department, across the East Coast Hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Preparation & Cooking Tasks
- Maintenance of Hygiene Standards
- Food Safety, Assured Safe Catering Health and Safety Legislation
- Follow Department procedures and good practices
- Keeping the kitchen areas clean
- Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
- Washing up and other general cleaning duties
- Knowledge of Special Diets
- Organise daily working plan prioritising
- Reorganise menus at short notice
Requirements
- Applicants must be adaptable and flexible to work variable hours
- Ability to use initiative, be self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and carry out physical tasks
- Must have a Driving Licence
- Ideal candidate will have catering experience, be customer-focused, a good team player and able to work unsupervised
- Full training will be provided
- Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend
