York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management is seeking to appoint an ID and Car Parking Administrator to join the Estates & Facilities teams across York and Scarborough Hospitals. We are looking for someone who has excellent customer service skills and a willingness to help everyone they come in contact with. The role is part of the ID & Car Parking function and reports to the Deputy Resources Customer Service Manager.
You will provide professional administrative support to the Deputy Resources Customer Service Manager and the wider admin team, cover the hospitals' requirements for producing NHS identification passes and parking permits, and handle other general car parking and door system enquiries. This post offers an opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills and to progress your career. You will work as part of a team, exercise initiative on your own within set parameters, and demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization and filing skills. The role is customer‑facing and requires excellent customer service, rapport, and the ability to build positive working relationships with the departments within the trust.
Previous administration/secretarial experience is preferred. You should have enthusiasm and willingness to learn quickly, a professional approach to work, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience in handling cash and following financial policies is also preferred. Experience using electronic systems such as creating ID badges or monitoring restricted access systems would be beneficial, though full training will be provided. The post holder may also be required to attend meetings and take minutes. The successful candidate must be computer‑literate, preferably with skills in Word, Excel, management structures and PowerPoint.
