The predicted salary is between 23615 - 25674 £ per year.

The closing date is 19 July 2026. The Environment & Linen Team are responsible for the daily deliveries of clean linen to all wards and departments on the York Hospital site 365 days a year. These back of house services support the delivery of patient care by our clinical colleagues.

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver clean linen to all wards and departments across the site.
  • Remove various waste streams and soiled linen from multi-waste utility areas using electric tugs.
  • Be flexible and cover any duties delivered by this team.
  • Support colleagues and provide assistance as required.
  • Demonstrate the organisation's values and behaviour at all times during work.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
  • English at C or above, or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Wastes Management (within 12 months).

Experience:

  • Stock control.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience working in a client-driven/NHS environment.
