Ellerby\’s restaurant is a modern and stylish restaurant located at York Hospital NHS. We are looking predominantly for service people who can deliver \”Make Their Day\” service on a daily basis.
The restaurant is a fast paced environment and is very busy during lunch times service. You will be mainly serving hospital staff and visitors and we require someone with lots of drive and energy, \”can do\” attitude, and flexibility to help out in patient ward service and the Barista , when needed.
The restaurant opens from 7am-6pm, Monday to Friday and 9am -4pm on weekends . The role is zero hours, as and when required. Shift patterns are varied and depending on your availability and business needs.
Every day is different at Ellerby\’s and tasks include working on the tills, serving on hot counters, working in pot wash or wiping tables and sweeping floors.
Exciting times also lay ahead as their are plans to introduce new food concepts such as Subways styled deli and pizza and also the expansion of the Barista to do hot toasted sandwiches.
Main duties of the job
Duties include but not limited to:

  • Working on the tills and cash handling
  • Serving on hot counters
  • Making fresh pizza\’s
  • Sandwich artist working on the deli counter
  • Wiping tables and sweeping floors
  • Helping out in Ellerby\’s Barista making coffee
  • Working in pot wash
  • Helping out working in the wards serving food to patients
  • Assisting in the kitchen when require
