A leading UK construction consultancy is seeking a PMO Director to establish and grow its Programme Management Office offering within the Education, Arts & Culture, or Healthcare sectors. The consultancy does not yet operate in these areas, so this is a rare opportunity to build the capability from the ground up.
You will report directly into the National PMO‑Leading Partner, offering exceptional visibility, influence, and a clear pathway to future Partner level.
The Role- Build and lead PMO capability across new public‑sector markets.
- Develop governance, reporting, risk, change, and scheduling frameworks.
- Produce dashboards and programme insights using Power BI.
- Act as a senior advisor to clients as the consultancy enters these sectors.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a growing PMO team.
- Degree‑educated (BA/BSc or equivalent).
- PMO, programme management, project controls, or project management experience in the construction sector.
- Strong relationships or delivery experience within Education, Arts & Culture, or Healthcare.
- Skilled in Power BI.
- Experience developing schedules, risk registers, and change logs.
- Confident leading teams and shaping new service lines.
- £90k–£100k + benefits + bonus.
