A leading UK construction consultancy is seeking a PMO Director to establish and grow its Programme Management Office offering within the Education, Arts & Culture, or Healthcare sectors. The consultancy does not yet operate in these areas, so this is a rare opportunity to build the capability from the ground up.

You will report directly into the National PMO Leading Partner, offering exceptional visibility, influence, and a clear pathway to future Partner level.

The Role
  • Build and lead PMO capability across new public-sector markets.
  • Develop governance, reporting, risk, change, and scheduling frameworks.
  • Produce dashboards and programme insights using Power BI.
  • Act as a senior advisor to clients as the consultancy enters these sectors.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a growing PMO team.
Experience Needed
  • Degree-educated (BA/BSc or equivalent).
  • PMO, programme management, project controls, or project management experience in the construction sector.
  • Strong relationships or delivery experience within Education, Arts & Culture, or Healthcare.
  • Skilled in Power BI.
  • Experience developing schedules, risk registers, and change logs.
  • Confident leading teams and shaping new service lines.
