The Team
The team consists of a mix of 12 Porters/Campus Services Assistants and 4 Receptionists who work in a variety of roles including staffing the main University Reception and Porters Lodge as well as carrying out work on all of the university owned sites in York.
The Role
The University is looking for someone to join our Campus and Residential Services team undertaking a variety of essential portering and reception duties. This is a full-time post working predominately Monday to Friday. Work will include general portering duties such as rubbish collection, room setups and post delivery as well as working on the main University reception if required. Driving university vehicles is also an integral part of the role.
Required skills and experience
- Experience of working in customer facing environment
- Knowledge of general health and safety requirements including manual handling
- Good communication skills
- Full driving licence
