Our LLB programme started in 2018 and has developed rapidly; and in 2020 we opened York St John Law Clinic, in which students give legal advice and assistance under the supervision of experienced staff. Our teaching will emphasise personal and skills development, with a focus on employability. We aim to place law in context to further understanding and develop analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We have high expectations of, and aspirations for, our students and we aim to create engaging teaching and assessment which fosters understanding and develops valuable transferable skills. The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team and play a key role in expanding our Law programmes. Applications from candidates who can deliver the following modules are desirable: Medical Law; Environmental Law; Media Law; Sports Law and Governance; International Trade law and International Commercial Law. You will become a Course Leader and lead on one of our postgraduate programmes. You will be responsible for leading and maintaining high standards on the programme while providing an excellent student experience. You will also conduct high quality research leading to publications in leading academic journals, develop bids and partnerships for research funding. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in one of the areas listed above or a closely related area.
