We employ a large team of student staff. These are students from all years and a wide variety of courses, so there is a great social network within our team and many of our staff form lifelong friendships with the people they work with at YSJSU.

Requirements
- You are a current York St John University student
- Can work day shifts around university commitments as well as evenings
- Have good time management skills
Main duties whilst working in the Students' Union Kitchen
- Opening and setting up the kitchen for service
- Pre-preparing various food items for service
- Completing an online food safety course, as well as other generic courses provided by the university. These are qualifications that are great to add to your CV
- Ensuring that the kitchen is clean, tidy, and fully prepped for the next person coming in on shift
- Running food from the kitchen to customers in the Bar and Coffee Lounge
- Following and completing the kitchen close down checklist to ensure that the kitchen is closed down correctly, and to a high standard including - Re stocking for the next day
- Ensuring that all paperwork is complete
