York Personal Support is a small independent care agency dedicated to providing personalised support to adults of all ages. We specialize in assisting individuals with visual impairments and offer a range of services including personal care, domestic support, pet care, and companionship.
*Summary*
As a Support Worker at York Personal Support, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care and support tailored to the individual needs of our clients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in their daily lives.
*The post is for 20 hours a week to support a gentleman while at work, together with some domestic support in his own home. *
*Applicants must be able to work 8-2.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.*
*Applicants must have previous experience or interest in woodwork.*
*Full training will be given.*
*The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.*
*Responsibilities*
* Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance client well-being.
* Support clients with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping.
* Help clients access community resources and participate in social activities.
*Requirements*
* Experience in home care or personal support roles is preferred.
* Knowledge of medication administration and first aid practices is beneficial.
