Role Overview
York Personal Support, a small care company based in the City of York, is recruiting Personal Assistants to support adults in their own homes. The position offers 16 hours per week (overtime available), with the possibility of weekend hours.
Responsibilities
The Personal Assistant will provide compassionate support to clients, ensuring their comfort and well‑being. Core duties include personal care support and prompts, medication management, help with correspondence and domestic support, food shopping, pet care and emotional support. Training, excellent support and supervision will be provided within a small team based in Heslington.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home care or related fields
- Knowledge of assisted adults who require support
- Ability to perform moving and positioning techniques, medication support and meal preparation
- Valid driver\’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience in medication administration and behavior management
Benefits: Minimum wage of £12.81 per hour plus travel time and mileage, free training, DBS and work phone.
