As a member of the York Hospital executive team, the Chief Medical Officer, in collaboration with the VP, Chief Administrator Provider Organization, identifies, develops, and implements strategic goals and objectives for the Hospital, employed hospital Medical Group, and the Medical Staff to improve the quality and appropriateness of patient care. The position provides leadership and direction to the Medical Staff inclusive of the employed multi-specialty medical group. Functions as the liaison and facilitator for all communications affecting the governing board, administration, medical staff, regulatory agencies, and medical staff. The CMO reports to the President & CEO of York Hospital.

The Chief Medical Officer is required to maintain, in good standing, a medical license to practice in the State of Maine. In addition, eight (8) years of increasingly responsible hospital management experience is required, with in-depth knowledge of government regulations of health care regulations and physician practice management required.

York Hospital is a non-profit 501(c)(3) 79-bed hospital with five community sites and 13 physician practices. We offer exceptional care in a healing environment.
