We have a new opportunity for a Cashier/Budget Reimbursement Specialist. This is a full-time, 36 hours per week position working Monday – Friday at our York Hospital Main Campus.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Review and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) from insurance carriers to post appropriate payment and denial codes
2. Accurately post payments and adjustments to appropriate patient accounts and or general ledger accounts
3. Balance all batches to ensure accurate reporting of payments received
4. Validate electronic payment posting and evaluate remittances for exceptions, recoupments and other deductions from invoiced amounts
5. Scan checks and record deposits on daily cash log
6. Other duties assigned as needed

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

1. Viewing of computer and printed material for long periods of time
2. Sitting for extended periods of time
3. Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Qualifications

1. 2+ years experience in healthcare insurance billing
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
3. Strong data entry skills
4. Proficient 10 key skills
5. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
6. Strong analytical and mathematical skills
7. Able to work within a team in a professional and courteous manner
