The predicted salary is between 35000 - 46000 £ per year.

Hours: 37 hours per week (1.0 fte)

Salary: Up to £41,313 per annum* (subject to experience and qualifications). Plus generous benefits. These include:

  • 57 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)
  • Generous Occupational Pension Scheme
  • Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE)

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time tutor to deliver across our Level 2 and Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services provision. This role will be ideal if you relish the challenge of working with a wide and diverse range of students, on full-time study programmes. The post would suit an appropriately qualified individual with experience in the Uniformed Protective Services and will involve co-leading aspects of this provision. Our unique approach to Public Services draws on the shared values and standards that result in success, regardless of the uniform worn by the individual. A strong theme of ‘service’ and helping others is used to embed leadership.

About the Person

The ideal candidate will be an innovative forward-thinking teacher, who is highly motivated to improve the chances of young people. You will be expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. The position requires enthusiasm and most importantly a commitment to the student journey.

About the College

We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more than one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us. Our wide range of education options span entry level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and accredited professional courses to courses for professional development. Our apprenticeships can be studied from level 2 to level 5 across a range of different career pathways. We are the largest provider of A-Level and vocational programmes for school leavers in the region; we offer nearly 35 A-Level subjects and over 80 vocational courses, including a wide range of T-Level pathways.
