Are you a nurse, midwife, paramedic, or other healthcare professional looking for a change? York College is offering a rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Tutor of Health and Social Care. You\’ll be delivering engaging and practical teaching across the T‑Level in Health, Health Apprenticeships (Levels 2 and 3), and some elements of Health and Social Care. Your real‑world experience will be invaluable in helping learners develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in health and care careers.

We\’re seeking a healthcare professional with a strong background in clinical or care settings—this could be in nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, or adult health and social care. You\’ll need to be passionate about supporting and mentoring others, with the confidence to lead both practical and classroom‑based sessions.

Previous teaching experience is welcome, but not essential. If you\’re new to teaching, we\’ll support you to gain a recognised teaching qualification.

Hourly rate: £25.25 (unqualified)

• or £26.38 (qualified) inclusive of holiday pay.
• Plus, membership of Teachers\’ Pension Scheme
• The base hourly rate is £16.29 (unqualified) / £17.02 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £25.25 (unqualified) / £26.38 (qualified) per hour.
