About the Role
We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join the College’s busy commercial catering outlets. The role involves serving customers, till operation, food preparation, replenishing stock, and ensuring the equipment and premises are cleaned to a high standard. If you enjoy working in a busy environment and as part of a team, this is the role for you.
The working pattern will be over 5 days, from Monday to Friday. The usual working hours will be Monday to Wednesday from 11am to 2.30pm, Thursday from 10.30am to 2.30pm, and Friday from 11am to 2.30pm. Flexibility is required around the demands of the business.
About the Person
We are looking for a highly reliable person who is a great team player with a positive, can-do attitude, and a flexible approach to work. Experience of food preparation and working in a catering environment would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. You should have a passion for delivering friendly and efficient customer service. Full uniform provided.

We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more than one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us.
Our wide range of education options span entry-level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and professional courses. Our apprenticeships range from level 2 to level 5 across various career pathways. We are the largest provider of A-Level and vocational programmes for school leavers in the region; offering nearly 35 A-Level subjects and over 80 vocational courses, including T-Level pathways.
