About the role
As Enrichment Officer, you will be a highly visible advocate for student experience, working alongside the Student Experience and Activities team.
Using the Department for Education’s Enrichment Benchmarks, you will design, plan and deliver an engaging calendar of clubs, societies, trips, awareness campaigns and large-scale events, including our annual Freshers' Fair.
You will be confident engaging directly with students, building positive relationships, understanding what matters to them and translating their feedback into meaningful opportunities that increase participation and belonging.
You will champion enrichment and its value through social media, internal communication and staff training.
You’ll also support daily student transport and ensure all enrichment initiatives support a positive, inclusive community that enhances wellbeing, personal development and belonging.
The role covers 40 weeks of college term time, including our main enrolment period in August to our training week in July. The role is not required during college holiday dates between those periods.
About the person
You will be a passionate advocate for student experience, with proven experience working with young people in a fast-paced setting. Strong organisation and communication skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will be confident in planning events, analysing student feedback, and using creative approaches to reach a diverse college community.
You will enjoy working independently on your own projects, as well as part of a team, to deliver an innovative and creative enrichment offer.
A flexible, empathetic and resilient approach is key, along with a commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development.

York College & University Centre is the largest further education college in the region, offering a comprehensive range of courses from Entry Level to degree level.
