Job Description

Apprenticeship Operations and Quality Manager

Ref: 2425/127Hours: 37 hours per weekSalary: £44,112 per annum. Plus generous benefits including: 

•    50 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)•    Generous Occupational Pension Scheme

About the role

You will oversee day to day operations to ensure that all apprentices and stakeholders have a professional and high-quality experience with us, leading to outstanding outcomes consistent with the strategic aims and objectives of the College.

You will play a key role as a member of the college’s management team helping shape growth plans, organisation strategy and championing college values. 

You will lead a team of Assessors and Administrators, providing all the support, training and development necessary for an outstanding service to our employers and learners.

About the person

You will:•    Be proactive and well organised, with an understanding of Apprenticeships Funding guidelines and effective quality assurance of apprenticeship delivery or transferrable skills that will allow you to learn

•    Be able to demonstrate significant successful experience in Apprenticeship delivery or a similar role

•    Have leadership experience and able to manage, motivate and inspire good working relationships with the team and all stakeholders. Experience of monitoring and tracking team performance, delivering effective CPD to ensure high quality provision. 

•    Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with employers, curriculum managers and their teams to improve quality KPIs.

•    Show an understanding of compliance and audit quality assurance to ensure that our apprenticeship documentation meets audit requirements.

•    Be able to demonstrate resilience and ambition for positive change and growth within your area of responsibility

About the College

We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us. 

Our wide range of education options span entry level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and accredited professional courses to courses for professional development. Our apprenticeships can be studied from level 2 to level 5 across a range of different career pathways. We are the largest provider of A-Level and vocational programmes for school leavers in the region; we offer nearly 35 A-Level subjects and over 80 vocational courses, including a wide range of T-Level pathways.

We are proud to be part of a consortium of colleges and employers developing the Yorkshire and Humber Institute of Technology (IoT), designed to increase higher level technical skills for employers.
