York Aviation is a boutique aviation consultancy based near Manchester, providing a wide range of services to organisations involved in the air transport industry in the UK and overseas. Our clients include:

  • major airports and airlines;
  • central, regional and local government;
  • economic development bodies;
  • regulatory agencies;
  • investors and investment advisors;
  • trade bodies.

York Aviation is currently looking to recruit for an Analyst/Consultant. We are looking for a numerate and analytically focussed individual to join our team as an analyst. You will be involved in all aspects of York Aviation’s work. You will be a natural problem solver, a strong communicator, and able to approach problems flexibly, designing and implementing solutions for our clients. A background in the aviation industry is useful but not essential. We are looking for somebody with the skills and potential to contribute to our business rather than specific experience. An educational background in a numerate discipline, such as economics, finance, statistics, engineering, mathematics or other STEM subjects would also be useful but is not essential. Similarly, an understanding of or experience in the aviation industry would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will possess many if not all of the following attributes:

  • Be a team player and be able to work under your own initiative;
  • Be open to new challenges and learning and developing new approaches;
  • Have strong IT skills, including use of the Microsoft Office package;
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Have excellent numeracy, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Be able to organise your work-load effectively and efficiently;
  • A willingness to work on a range of different, challenging projects at one time;
  • Resident in the UK and currently eligible to work in the UK.
