About The Role
Salary: £25,800 per annum
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term
York Archaeology delivers commercial archaeological services from offices at York, Sheffield and Nottingham. The organisation provides world famous heritage attractions with excavation, survey, consultancy, expert conservation services, research and an unmatched commitment to dissemination, engagement and public benefit.
We require additional field staff (Project Archaeologists), operating from our Nottingham offices, to deliver a wide range of archaeological projects, including sites of prehistoric, Roman and medieval date, both rural and urban. Contracts of up to 6 months are on offer, with an immediate start.
Applicants will be expected to work locally within the region and farther afield; accommodation, transport and subsistence funds will be provided. Applicants should demonstrate any relevant experience in their application.
Essential Criteria
- A degree in archaeology or related discipline and an appropriate level of demonstrable experience
Desirable Criteria
- A driving licence would be advantageous, but not essential
- CIfA membership
- A First Aid at Work certificate would be advantageous, but not essential
