A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Administrator/Receptionist to join our team in the Emergency Department at York Hospital.
Applicants should have a passion for providing high-quality customer service as the first point of contact to the department and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment.

The Role Involves
- Registration of patients attending the Emergency Department
- Providing a courteous and efficient reception service
- Ensuring the smooth running of the Emergency Department Administration/Reception, adhering to procedures and guidelines
- Dealing with a variety of enquiries made in person or by telephone
- Undertaking any other tasks as directed
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work well under pressure, and be self-motivated and a team player with a wide range of duties.
You should take pride in your work, remaining professional, proactive, and courteous. Previous receptionist experience and keyboard skills would be advantageous.
The role requires flexibility, including working nights, weekends, bank holidays, and unsocial hours.
