This is far more than a driving role. Our drivers provide a vital lifeline for people attending radiotherapy treatment — often during one of the most challenging times in their lives. Your kindness, patience, and reassurance will matter just as much as your driving skills.
About the Role
- Transport patients safely between their homes in York and St James’s Hospital in Leeds.
- Provide a warm, respectful and empathetic service to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
- Assist passengers as needed while maintaining dignity and independence.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle safety, cleanliness and hygiene.
- Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients and the York Against Cancer team.
- Work flexibly to meet changing needs and service demands.
What We’re Looking For
- Holds a full UK driving licence with the correct entitlement to drive a minibus.
- Is a safe, confident and responsible driver.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
