We are looking to recruit a Consortia Manager to oversee our data sharing and consortium management services. The candidate is expected to manage and grow our existing portfolio and develop new services as directed by the business. With the expansion of global REACH-like regulations in S.Korea, China, Taiwan, Turkey and the UK, there is growing demand to facilitate, sell and reuse scientific data originally submitted under EU REACH. Working with the regulatory, legal and finance teams, you will deliver services to industry enabling them to fulfil their global chemical notification compliance obligations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead outward facing data sharing and Consortium Management activities
- Provide regulatory and technical guidance and support to industry in the context of global data sharing requirements, notably EU REACH, UK REACH, Turkey KKDIK
- Prepare and project manage all aspects of data sharing including: accounting, contracts, Testing Proposals, SEv and Dev, negotiation and sales
- Work in close cooperation with financial, commercial and technical colleagues across the Group
- Provide effective and efficient communication with colleagues, clients, other stakeholders, international Partners and the regulatory authorities.
Profile and Qualifications
- Strong commercial acumen with a regulatory background
- A working knowledge of global chemical notifications including EU REACH and GHS is desirable but not essential
- Degree in related discipline (i.e. finance and accounting, chemistry, environmental sciences etc.)
- Excellent negotiator skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to successfully manage a fluctuating workload and work well under pressure
- Self-starter, good at working well on your own and using your initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, additional languages would be an advantage
