Role Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Website Merchandiser to join our Site Trading Team. Reporting to the Site Trading Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the representation, classification, visual merchandising and trading of all products across site. The role will also include working with buying, merchandising, creative, editorial and technical teams. You must be detail-oriented, extremely organized and have an interest in fashion.
Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for visual merchandising ensuring products are beautifully & strategically merchandised at all times, supporting the buy and wider business goals
- Use analytical insights and trading reports to monitor and drive performance of products and category against business KPIs and to inform future activity
- Create actionable insights and make recommendations for optimisation & improvement to drive CVR rate onsite and business performance
- Manage current website navigation, classification process and planning, constantly monitoring improvement and planning iterations
- Responsible for global ‘What’s New’ trading and merchandising: signing off on classifications, VM strategy, product linking, resurfacing and product readiness for upload to site
- Oversee a team of Website Merchandisers and Assistant Website Merchandisers to monitor the websites daily, across multiple devices, facilitating the quick and efficient resolution of any errors
- Ensure daily audits of the site to check depth/high exposure product is being surfaced that everything is correctly classified and merchandised
- Work with in-house technology teams (Ecommerce, UX, Devs) to conceive and implement front- and back-end enhancements to make merchandising the site easier and improve user experience, working as a stakeholder for various site sections
- Coordinate enhancement development and user testing
- Lead liaison between Site Content to influence the strategy for the season and manage product exposure to maximise sales, communicating delivery lead times, brand launches and key products back to trading team
- Own reporting and analysis and optimisation of all areas of responsibility plus action and monitor changes in absence of manager
- Decision-maker on changes to category tree with a solid understanding of SEO in relation to navigation categories
- Responsible for on-site search performance, ensuring keywords are optimized and products returned are performing and representative of the buy and working with relevant teams (Product Editorial, SEO) to improve
- Fully support targeted marketing activity and product selection onsite (Email, Homepage, Product Marketing/content briefs) and able to think ahead for next quarter
- Attend Buying/Merchandising meeting for category area and feed in analysis
- Approve merchandising lists, advise team on key focus areas and feed in merchandising knowledge, ensuring products are in-line with trading focus, brand and consumer
- Monitor the website daily across all devices, facilitating the quick and efficient resolution of any errors

The type of person we are looking for:
- Ecommerce fashion experience, ideally in luxury with an in-depth knowledge of luxury fashion brands
- Highly commercially aware, with creative flair and love of luxury fashion
- Proven experience in an Ecommerce environment, with a strong understanding of visual merchandising, website taxonomy and usability
- Knowledge of and passion for technology and digital
- Exceptional understanding of the global consumer and an understanding of the online retail landscape across markets
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, ideally gained in a retail merchandising environment
- Proven track-record of reaching sales targets, improving processes and managing multiple tasks to tight deadlines
- Experience in training, coaching, mentoring and managing
- Highly computer-literate, preferably with knowledge of website systems and analytics tools
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability and confidence to liaise at all levels
- Flexible, proactive and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve
