Housekeeper Cook needed near Paddington.
Monday to Friday, 12pm – 8pm. £19 - £22 gross per hour. Permanent position.
We are a friendly family of 4 looking for a Housekeeper Cook. Two children aged 1.5 and 3.5 years old in a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house. We also have 2 cats.
Sole responsibility for all housekeeping aspects of cleaning, tidying, laundry and general household errands as well as cooking dinner for the family. You will need to be trustworthy, proactive, and show initiative. We want a friendly and warm person to be around and someone who can receive and give direct feedback.
A live-in Nanny is responsible for the children but we do expect you to interact with the children with empathy and discipline, so some childcare experience is advantageous. The children will start full-time school next year and live-in accommodation may be an option in the future. The accommodation consists of a bedroom, bathroom and a separate entrance is available.
Job Specification:- Cooking healthy family meal dinners
- Occasionally prepare snacks for the family
- Wiping down counters, cleaning appliances, washing dishes, and cleaning kitchen sinks
- Dusting surfaces, vacuuming and mopping all floors
- Receiving deliveries, liaising with contractors from time to time
- Changing bed sheets, pillowcases, and other linens
- Organising common areas like living room, and entryways
- Washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothes, linens, and towels
- Running errands such as grocery shopping
- Sweeping the front yard
- Scooping cat litter
- Occasional babysitting
- At least 5 years previous experience in a private household
- Happy to work in a home with young children and two cats
- Friendly but discreet, with a keen eye for detail
- Pride in achieving a high level of cleanliness in their role
- Flexible and adaptable, proactive and able to work on own initiative
- German, Mandarin, or French language skills advantageous
- DBS check required at offer stage
