About the Role
With continued growth across our business, we are actively seeking a new member to join our team. This is an exciting role to work with an existing group of skilled investment and legal professionals, enhancing the team’s capabilities and becoming an integral part of a rapidly growing business. This is a highly visible role that includes interaction with top executives. The role requires providing pragmatic legal advice as well as strategic and analytical thinking, business development, collaboration, communication, and multitasking skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with the Development and Finance teams to define and implement a variety of sourcing and investment strategies, providing legal advice on structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
- Instructing and working with external counsel on the development of financing strategies, term sheets, financing documents, and due diligence.
- Provide advice on broader considerations of financing strategy within Yondr.
- Managing ongoing compliance with existing financings and liaising with agents and lenders on an ongoing basis in facility management.
- Participate and present in a variety of senior management meetings.
- Work collaboratively with a range of teams across Yondr.
- Create initiatives to reduce operational threats and business risks and maximise core business strengths from a legal perspective.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as investors, external consultants, lawyers, banks, and credit providers.
- Designing and delivering legal training to the business.
- Assist the senior leadership team in legal matters relating to Yondr’s financings.
- Given the global remit of the role and the continued growth of the industry, structured finance deals will also be a key feature of the role, providing an opportunity to further develop skillset on industry-pioneering transactions.

Qualifications and experience
- Degree with strong academic results in legal or business areas.
- Legal qualification under UK, European, or similar law, with a practising certificate.
- At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience as a Finance Lawyer (preferably with experience in Project Finance and, specifically, Data Centre financings).
- Experience working with strong infrastructure sponsors and wide lender groups.
- Experience in private practice and/or in-house experience is acceptable.
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex infrastructure or real estate financings.
- Highly organised and intellectually curious, with a strong knowledge of commercial law.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to provide pragmatic legal advice clearly and in concise, simple terms.
- Desire to learn about the dynamics and trends of digital infrastructure.
- Flexible & dynamic - self-motivated, results-driven, ability to deal with change.
- Highly organised and structured, logical and lateral thinker.
- Team player, with exceptional written, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and add value.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
