Role Overview
We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to cover our Senior Performance Marketing Lead during maternity leave for a 12‑month contract. You will report to the VP Marketing and work across paid media, agency partnership, analytics and cross‑functional collaboration. After 12 months, there may be an opportunity to transition to a permanent role.
What You’ll Do
- Paid Media
- Run Meta campaigns end‑to‑end: setup, audience strategy, creative testing, optimisation and reporting. You should be fluent in Ads Manager.
- Lead campaigns on TikTok and Google and articulate how each fits the channel mix.
- Own paid budgets of £500 k–£1.5 m per year; make spend decisions based on revenue, LTV and payback period.
- Build and test landing pages that convert; understand the full path from ad click to card application.
- Stay current with platform changes, algorithm updates and new creative formats.
- Agency Management
- Maintain day‑to‑day relationship with the agency partner, providing clear briefs and quality control.
- Collaborate closely with Creative, Content and PR teams to develop assets that work across paid and organic channels.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Own weekly performance reports across all paid channels, providing clear, actionable insights.
- Master key metrics – CAC, LTV, payback period, ROAS, activation rates – and present them to Finance.
- Use data to drive the next campaign iteration and communicate commercial cases for spend decisions.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with VP Marketing, Content Lead, PR & Creative Lead, and Designers to align paid marketing with broader initiatives.
- Understand the constraints of marketing a regulated financial product, especially credit advertising.
- Look beyond the paid funnel and care about user journey after the click.
Qualifications
Essential
- Expert‑level Meta experience – you set up, structure, and optimise campaigns yourself.
- Proven experience on TikTok, Google and Meta with demonstrated results.
- Experience managing budgets of £500 k–£1.5 m; you make commercial decisions, not just tactical.
- App‑first and web‑to‑app experience – understand paid activation and handoff to onboarding.
- Experience with MMP/attribution tools (Singular) – analyze attribution data effectively.
- Strong data analytics skills – extract actionable insights from dashboards.
- Full funnel understanding from scroll to install to first reward redemption.
- In‑house branding experience – you’ve managed both creative and paid work.
- Comfortable using AI to improve speed and insight.
Preferred
- Experience marketing regulated financial products, including credit cards or lending.
- Direct agency partnership ownership experience.
- CRM or lifecycle marketing background.
- Familiarity with A/B testing for creative and landing pages.
Ideal Fit
- Highly bias to action – you ship quickly, read data and improve.
- Analytical mindset – you focus on impactful metrics.
- Ownership across paid, creative, finance and product.
- Budget‑focused mindset – maximise return on every pound spent.
- Customer‑centric – consider user experience after the click.
- Passionate about Yonder’s product, brand and audience.
- Adaptable to changing budgets, platforms and strategies.
Not a Good Fit
- Slow or unresponsive at the required pace.
- Comfortable only with status‑quo approaches.
- Optimise for vanity metrics.
- Unwilling to collaborate beyond your own funnel.
- Only agency‑side experience without in‑house hands‑on work.
