We’re building the financial membership of the future. One that works for how you live now. Not how your parents banked in the ‘90s. Yonder combines credit and debit in one membership, designed to be fair, flexible, and actually enjoyable to use. No confusing terms. No dusty points system. Just rewards that actually feel rewarding - from bao to beer to a boarding pass.
We raised £23.4M in September 2024 to grow the team, launch even better rewards, and expand beyond the UK.
The Marketing function is looking for a Content & Comms Manager. We're a small team building something genuinely different in financial services, a rewards card that people actually want to talk about. Content is how we earn attention, build habit, and make members feel like insiders rather than customers.
This role owns two things that matter a lot: what we say on social, and how we talk to our members. That's a broad canvas. It suits someone who can hold both without dropping either.
What you’ll do
- Organic social
- You run the calendar. You make the content. You look at what landed and do more of that.
- Own, manage, and produce the content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Reddit (and anywhere else we look to expand).
- You’ve created content (whether for yourself or for a brand); short-form video, static, carousel, using Figma, CapCut, or whatever gets the job done.
- Write copy that sounds like Yonder: sharp, direct, a little cheeky. Never generic, never forgettable.
- Track weekly performance across engagement, reach, saves, and shares — and use it to decide what comes next.
- Know when to jump on a cultural moment. Know when to leave it alone. (Both are skills.)
- Build and nurture community, in a way that feels native, not branded.
- Used to working scrappily with flexible budgets, you make great content, not expensive content.
- Not afraid to get in front of the camera. Or quietly convince one of us to.
- Influencers & creators
- As we scale you’ll also look after influencers and creators so you’ll have experience finding the right people, managing relationships, and making sure the output is actually good.
- Research and discover creators who genuinely fit Yonder, taste matters here as much as the stats.
- Handle the end-to-end process: outreach, contracts, usage rights, briefs, scripting, and approvals.
- Keep the quality bar high. You're not just project managing, you're making sure the final content earns its place.
- Member & partner comms
- You plan what goes out. You build it. You send it. You report on it.
- Build, QA, and send email and push campaigns in Braze, you're not learning it here.
- Pull segments with confidence: lifecycle stage, product tier, behaviour, engagement.
- Collaborate with the Partnership team to help bring our reward partners to life with comms, editorial, and social content.
- Own the comms calendar: who's getting what, when, and why, across every member touchpoint.
- Track the numbers that matter; open rate, CTR, conversions, spend, opt-outs. And feed that back into the next campaign.
- Support key lifecycle moments: onboarding, first reward, upgrade nudges, reward expiry, reactivation.
- You’ll build great relationships with our members, and constantly be feeding in insights and learnings from them.
- Creative support
- You're not a support function. You're a creative collaborator who happens to also own your own channels.
- You’ll work closely with the Senior PR Lead and Senior Performance Marketing Lead; supporting on scripting, writing, and creative campaigns.
What We Need From You
- Non-negotiables
- Creative taste. We take real pride in how Yonder looks and sounds, and we need someone who feels that too, not just someone who can follow a brand guide.
- Social content native. You live on these platforms, you understand what works on each, and you can prove it with work you've made yourself.
- Hands-on comms experience. Campaigns, canvases, segments, reporting (we use Braze).
- You make content yourself and have strong visual instinct.
- Writing that's genuinely good. You'll be writing in Yonder's voice from week one.
- A calendar brain. You can hold multiple channels, multiple audiences, multiple send dates, without a spreadsheet falling apart.
- Some experience with community building - Reddit, brand communities, creator relationships, or similar.
- AI power user. Use it. We do. It'll make you faster and sharper when used well. But don't lean on it as a crutch, we can spot AI content immediately, and so can our members. Taste isn't something a model can replicate yet. Yours needs to be evident.
- Strongly preferred
- Background in a startup or scale-up — you know what "scrappy but quality" looks like.
- Fintech, D2C, consumer or lifestyle brand experience.
- Influencer or creator management experience — you've done the contracts, not just the DMs.
- Familiarity with A/B testing copy — subject lines, websites, CTAs, creative variants.
Please include examples of your work when you apply. Social content, email campaigns, creator briefs - anything that shows something you are proud of. We read every application. Good work gets noticed.
You're a great fit if you
- You have a bias to action. You don't wait for perfect briefs or perfect conditions. You make a call, ship it, and learn from it.
- You're analytical enough to know what the data's saying, and creative enough to do something interesting with that information. You find the structure satisfying, not constraining. Deadlines don't stress you out, missing them does.
- You care about your craft. You'll rewrite a product call-to-action four times not because someone asked you to, but because the third version wasn't good enough. You notice when something's off-brand and you say so.
- You're excited about Yonder specifically. Not just "a role in fintech." This product, this brand, this audience.
- Comfortable with change. We're a startup, priorities shift, plans evolve, and the best people here adapt without drama.
What’s it like working at Yonder?
- We’re office-first, remote-friendly. We’re based in our Hoxton office, complete with a terrace, breakfast, coffee (from a barista), dogs, beer taps and plenty of comfortable space to do your best work. We ask you to come into the office at least 3 days a week, with everyone coming in on Mondays.
- We take a values-led approach. Our principles are incredibly important to us.
- We take development really seriously. We have a pretty structured process for progression, with fortnightly one-on-ones and quarterly peer perspectives. We also take some time at the end of each week to reflect and celebrate what we’ve learned and achieved.
What’s in it for me?
- £42,416 - £55,972 annual salary depending on experience.
- £27,576 - £46,215 stock options.
- 35 holidays (27 days annual leave + 8 days public leave).
- 2x team-building offsites per year (1 in the UK, 1 abroad).
- Private healthcare with Bupa.
- Up to 12 weeks enhanced parental leave after being with Yonder for 1 year.
- Learning & training allowance (£750/year) that you can use on books, courses, etc.
- Regular team breakfasts and lunch.
- Regular team events like Mini-golf, Escape Room, Cocktail making.
- Cycle-to-work scheme.
- Fresh pour-over coffee made by our very own CEO, Tim.
What’s the interview process like?
- Stage 1: Intro call (45 mins): You will have an initial call to find out more about you and to tell you more about us.
- Stage 2: Case interview / Take home task (60 mins).
- Stage 3: Face-to-face interview (2 hours): Two 60-minute interviews to learn more about how you work. This will also be a great opportunity for you to meet the rest of the team.
- Stage 4: Reference checks at this stage - ideally with a previous manager and a peer over the phone.
- Stage 5: Offer. If everyone’s happy, we’ll make you an offer to join us.
We love closing the feedback loop at Yonder. You can expect specific feedback on our decision from Stage 2 onwards, and you can always ask for more.
We must complete the right to work & criminal background checks for every new Yonder-er for compliance purposes because we handle sensitive customer data.
We also do reference checks, ideally with your most recent manager on the phone.
We like to move quickly at Yonder, so we will be ready to onboard you once the above checks are complete - the entire process can take between 2 - 6 weeks.
We know that diverse teams build better products. If you’re from an under-represented community, we’d especially love to hear from you.
Even if you don’t feel 100% qualified, please do apply anyway. Your attitude and desire to grow are just as important as your experience.
