EHS Engineer in Port Talbot

EHS Engineer Yolk Recruitment are supporting the recruitment of an EHS Engineer for an established industrial manufacturing site in Port Talbot. This is a hands-on Health, Safety and Environmental position covering both EHS compliance and continuous improvement, with responsibility for risk assessments, incident investigations, environmental management, audits, training and EHS reporting. The role would suit a NEBOSH-qualified EHS / HSE professional with experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, metals, materials or industrial environment. Working as part of an established EHS team, you will support the site across all aspects of health, safety and environmental management, working closely with operational and manufacturing teams to maintain compliance and improve EHS standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and support Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the manufacturing site Complete and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments and Safe Working Procedures Lead and support accident, incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions Provide practical advice and guidance on health and safety legislation, environmental requirements and good practice Assess work equipment, machinery and workplace activities, recommending improvements where required Support the implementation of EHS procedures, processes and continuous improvement initiatives Support internal and external audits and statutory inspections Assist with maintaining and improving Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems Provide EHS training, coaching and guidance to employees and managers Monitor environmental processes and support environmental compliance Coordinate waste management and waste reduction activities Compile, analyse and report EHS performance data, including accident and incident information Prepare information and reports for the wider corporate EHS function Support the business with environmental matters including permits and regulatory requirements Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to promote safe and compliant working practices This is what you'll need: NEBOSH Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment And this is what you'll get: Competitive salary Progression opportunities Health and wellbeing platform
