We are extremely proud to be working with a leading law firm who are seeking a highly organised, proactive individual to join them as a Workplace Operations Assistant on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced, professional services environment where no two days are the same.
As the face of their Manchester office, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the workplace while delivering outstanding service to colleagues, clients, and visitors. Occasional travel to the Leeds office will be required.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the Workplace Operations team across a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, providing a warm, professional welcome.
- Coordinating meeting rooms, hospitality, catering, and office events.
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and document scanning.
- Maintaining office supplies, stationery, printers, and general workplace facilities.
- Liaising with local suppliers and service providers.
- Supporting office maintenance, health & safety compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
- Assisting with office administration, filing, scanning, data management, and document preparation.
- Supporting finance processes, including supplier invoices, budget monitoring, and contract administration.
- Helping to keep the office organised, efficient, and operating to the highest standards.
What we are looking for:
- Someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys delivering exceptional service.
- Previous experience in facilities, workplace operations, office administration, or front-of-house, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, discreet, and confidential approach.
- A proactive, flexible attitude with a genuine willingness to help others.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using office technology such as printers, photocopiers, video conferencing equipment, and telephony systems.
What you will get in return:
- Salary of £26,000-£29,000 pro rata (DOE).
- Monday to Friday with no weekends.
