As the Senior Employment Lawyer, you will handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, work closely with colleagues to generate cross-referrals, and build strong relationships with clients and introducers. OverviewThis is what you will be doing. As a Senior Employment Lawyer, your day-to-day duties will be:
Responsibilities- Managing a varied caseload across contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising both employers and employees
- Drafting tribunal documentation and running Employment Tribunal claims end-to-end
- Producing and reviewing employment contracts, policies, handbooks and wider employment documentation
- Supporting the wider firm through cross-referrals, including providing corporate support to Corporate and Commercial colleagues
- Building the Employment profile through business development, networking and introducer relationships
You will bring the following experience to the Employment team:
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 7+ years' PQE in Employment law
- Strong tribunal experience, including drafting pleadings and managing claims
- Solid technical coverage across areas such as TUPE, redundancies, settlement agreements, post-termination restrictions and employee relations issues
- Evidence of business development and networking, with the confidence to drive growth in the Employment offering
- Ideally, some experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
- Highly competitive salary
